On Tuesday, November 30, 2004, the Illinois Space Society will host Gregg Maryniak, Executive Director of the Ansari X PRIZE Foundation and Doug King, CEO of the St. Louis Science Center. Everyone is invited to participate in this free event at Foellinger Auditorium on the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus to learn about the trials and successes of the X PRIZE, as well as the benefits of space exploration.
Space exploration can be more than an engineering marvel experienced by only a few astronauts. The development of space will require advances in business, law, education, and policy in addition to the well-known advances in space science and engineering. Come to X DAY to discover what opportunities await for those who are bold enough to accept the challenge.
